Coming from the land of Cagayan de Oro, The Sulo project aims to have a synergetic approach in terms of creating and sharing their music–thus gluing individuals together regardless of who they are or where they come from. The collaborative is mainly composed of singer-songwriters Luiz Cabaron and Miggy James, along with Miguel Mejia on guitar.
Resembling a sulo (the Filipino translation for “torch”), the members’ diverse styles in music, incorporating genres such as rap, folk, and soul, flow and shift in harmony with the collective consciousness of time–therefore creating sounds that illuminate and inspire listeners.
Their latest single “Lipad” was released last August, amplifying the voices of those who choose to take the leap and soar for their life’s desires. Prior to this, Sulo has also released their debut album “Anak ng Bayan”, magnifying the themes of patriotism and nationalism, therefore uplifting those who are still navigating through the nation’s difficult times.
