Originally conceived by Mads Noye and Chris Catton as a creative outlet for all the music deemed to be too “synthesizer heavy” for their other projects, the Sun City powerhouse has grown in volume at an impressive rate.
Drawing heavy inspiration from the 80’s synthesizer scene and their storydriven reels, Sun City has managed to connect with a substantial online audience who, like the band members themselves, yearn for the nostalgic sounds of Juno synthesizers and LinnDrums.
Fans promptly took a liking to saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Jonas Klintström Larsen, and so the duo became a trio.
Sun City have collaborated with fellow nostalgia trippers Izzy Perri and Sleepless-Nights, as well as featuring TOTO drummer Shannon Forrest earlier this year on their single This Time.
Sun City’s first extended play Never Let You Go showcases the group’s undeniable ability to churn out nostalgic earworms en masse.
