Sunday Afternoon is a Blues-centric R&B group out of Bloomington/Normal Illinois. In 2016 the band was formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Austin Willis who was looking to take his original music beyond the local open mic scene. In addition to his talents, Sunday Afternoon has comprised of 3-7 musicians featuring a unique blend of tasteful keyboards, a driving rhythm section, and lush saxophone accents. Sunday Afternoon is known to fill its shows with both original music and energizing covers to keep the audience hooked throughout live performances. Sunday Afternoon has performed all across Illinois including the State Fair and Blommington’s own nightshop. They have opened for Art of Ill Fusion and have won Battle of the Bands competitions in Tinley Park and Manito. Their debut single, Girl Like You, released on May 28, 2018 to promote the Relationship Status EP released shortly after. Sunday Afternoon is currently teasing new music with live performances of singles Nicotine and Cry.
