Sunday Face was founded in 2015 by front woman Leah Gutman in Framingham, MA. While Gutman was doing Sunday Face as a solo project, she released "a lil love song to close the distance", which was written in her dorm at McGill University, and then produced, recorded, and mixed the song in her childhood home in Framingham. Upon moving back to Boston in 2018, Gutman expanded Sunday Face into a band with her good friends Dylan Walsh, Bram Pulliam, and Zack Stetson. Gutman spent most of 2019 performing in various basements and writing Sunday Face's upcoming EP, called Start Anew, which is scheduled to release late January or early February.
