A German heavy-psych outfit based out of Berlin, Suns of Thyme employ a heady blend of space rock, bluesy prog-rock, shoegaze, and post-punk. Citing a wide range of influences that include Hawkwind, Velvet Underground, Sisters of Mercy, Flaming Lips, Pink Floyd, and the Cure, the band formed in 2011 around the talents of Tammo Dehn (synths/percussion/sampler), Tobias Feltes (vocals/guitar/sitar), Tim Hoppe (guitar), Jascha Kreft (drums/vocals), and Jens Rosenkranz (bass). In 2013 the group issued their debut album, Fortune Shelter Love, independently. It caught the attention of Napalm Records, which signed the band the following year. Suns of Thyme's sophomore studio long-player and first outing for the label, Cascades, followed in June 2016. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
