Blending alternative and electronic with a pop sensibility, Sunset City are quickly becoming known for their infectious energy, and talent for delivering a charismatic tune time and time again.
Consisting of Parker Rose, Rob Johnson and Matt Scully, Sunset City first debuted in 2018 with a feature on ARIA nominated duo <a href="spotify:artist:1YlyxjwYNSjBD0NAJGEfWB" data-name="Bombs Away">Bombs Away</a>'s single, ‘Let You Down’, before releasing their inaugural single ‘Pockets’. The band finished off the year with a collaboration on ‘Papercuts’, a single by <a href="spotify:artist:33JQK4UoS2aMPYBfdB5Ftt" data-name="Ryan Riback">Ryan Riback</a> – the producer behind <a href="spotify:artist:02A3cEvlLLCbIMVDrK2GHV" data-name="Starley">Starley</a>'s 4 x platinum record ‘Call On Me’.
More recently, the band worked with ARIA award winner, <a href="spotify:artist:5i84V8Zk7YqCN6xxb7SWgw" data-name="Samantha Jade">Samantha Jade</a> for their release of ‘Forget It All’, which earned them praise from a number of commercial radio stations around the globe. The song was also a finalist for ‘Song of the Year’ at the 2020 Gold Coast Music Awards. The band continues to bring their energetic live show to events and venues around the country, including Suncorp Stadium, the Commonwealth Games and Surfers Paradise Live.
