Superfriends is an Japanese rock band from Kyoto, formed in 2005. The band consists of Shiobara (vocals, guitar), Maeda (drums), and KENT VALLEY(bass).
Greatly influenced by Weezer and the Wannadies, Shiobara started writing songs for the band. After releasing several EPs under various independent labels, they released their first album ”Superfriends” in 2018 on Second Royal Records. In 2019, the band released an EP entitled “Let’s talk about feelings”, which included a track remixed by Handsomeboy Technique. They write and play music at their own pace.
