Supply Fi is the electronic music project of Chicago suburbanite Michael Southard. At a young age, Michael became interested in music production and recording engineering, creating countless albums of esoteric, cross-genre music. He earned a bachelor’s degree in music business from Southern Illinois University in 2007 and has continued honing his production and songwriting skills.
The music of Supply Fi has been described as a blend of mechanical and organic; technical and sentimental. The 2018 EP “And We Become One with the Earth” is a great example of how these themes combine while keeping a strong focus on melody and groove.
Michael also creates ambient, piano-centric music under the name <a href="spotify:artist:7D47cSdAGXNj5wsEtX380x" data-name="Time Rival">Time Rival</a>, is one half of the duo <a href="spotify:artist:4X47YRVFjUwWyJQNlfNhxr" data-name="Amberglow">Amberglow</a> and collaborates regularly with <a href="spotify:artist:3WxRLw0GIEZDVXBPLSWC2O" data-name="Running in Slow Motion">Running in Slow Motion</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7BrPrJ4M1pDAbITaxltgjC" data-name="Belial Pelegrim">Belial Pelegrim</a>. He is currently working on a large-scale collaborative album with 15 artists, and writes production music for music libraries.
