Surkhwaab "سرخواب" was formed in 2019 in Karachi by founding members Jasir Abro (Bass Player), Zishan Mansoor (Guitar Player) and Ajay Harri (Drummer). Jan 2020 saw the addition of respective powerhouse Zeeshan Ali (Vocalist) bringing his eastern classical repertoire and a Pakistani music legend Jon Saville (Keys/Piano) adding jazz fusion flavor to the mix.
Surkhwaab, is an eclectic Sufi world fusion group. They take old eastern classical/folk standards and rearrange them with modern instruments. Their music was recorded live in the studio at A for Aleph in Karachi, Pakistan.
