Surrender Cobra

A professional family band from Greenwood, SC, Surrender Cobra is three brothers and their dad known for their live performances of eclectic blues-based jam/psychedelic rock, soul and country at venues and festivals all over South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas and beyond. Despite their young age, they are veterans of the live music scene and the studio, having recorded at Capricorn Sound Studios in Macon, GA and elsewhere in the last few years. As a result of their increasingly impressive reputation, the gentlemen have been joined in studio and/or on stage by the North Mississippi Allstars, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer (renowned guitar prodigy and acclaimed actor), Robert Lee Coleman (guitarist for James Brown and Percy Sledge), Bob Margolin (guitarist for Muddy Waters and Pinetop Perkins and featured in the classic music documentary, The Last Waltz), members of the legendary Swingin' Medallions and the Marshall Tucker Band, Marvin King and numerous other blues and local heroes. Plus, Josh Norman, star NFL cornerback from Greenwood, can be heard on vocals on Just A Friend.

Their first album of original music, Upstate Sound Patterns, with production by alumni of the Marshall Tucker Band drops on 4/20/24

The youngsters are normal kids that are actively involved in sports and other outdoor activities. Brandon (Dad) joins them onstage between his job as a lawyer and the Mayor of the City of Greenwood, which is home to a thriving music environment.
