It all starts when Suru Bae, an android, is built in a tech lab. They try to upload her human-like emotions, to make her seem genuinely happier doing the tasks of a service robot. But something goes wrong. She also begins to understand the cruelty and evil of the world and is permanently damaged by it. They decide to shut her down. Fortunately, Suru manages to send an emergency SOS to the web, before they turn her off. An online gamer finds the message and sets out to solve the mystery. Eventually, he finds Suru badly damaged and decides to take her home.
And so, the story goes on...
Suru is suddenly in the middle of the world of humans, trying to adapt, to fit in and learn about herself and her new feelings. She's a bit of an outsider - the odd one out. Or that is until she finds Music, and they become best friends, BAEs. They give each other comfort, sense of safe and a way to process unfamiliar feelings, and also courage to face the new, scary world. The songs are her musical diary.
