Suss von Ahn is a Swedish singer and songwriter, originally from the northern city of Umeå. From an early age, music has been a central passion in her life. As the daughter of a preacher, she was deeply influenced by gospel music.
Her formative years included a significant period living in Liberia, West Africa, where she developed a strong appreciation for African rhythms and traditional instruments—an experience that enriched her musical palette.
At the age of 15, Suss began composing her own music, drawing inspiration from West Coast sounds, gospel, and jazz. Over the years, she has released multiple albums featuring original compositions as well as jazz interpretations of classics by legendary artists such as Bill Evans, Cole Porter, Donald Fagen, Joni Mitchell, and John Lennon. Her breakthrough came with the release of Alone Naturally, a rendition of Gilbert O’Sullivan’s iconic song.
Since 2010, Suss von Ahn's musical style has increasingly embraced elements of soul, R&B, and pop, reflecting her evolving artistic expression and broadening influences.
