Suwon Yim is a 30 year old jazz pianist from Seoul, South Korea.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Berklee Global Jazz Institute in 2021 on a full scholarship, studying under legendary artists including Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, and Terri Lyne Carrington.
In 2022, Suwon was selected as a top finalist at the Gutenberg Jazz Collective at Jazz Campus Mainz, Germany. She has since performed on major stages across Europe, touring as a pianist with the Ray Brown Jr. Quartet and appearing in prominent jazz venues and festivals.
As an artist, Suwon has released eleven full-length albums, including 'When It Falls' (2021) & 'Escape From The Underplay' (2022), which received attention from leading Korean jazz publications Jazz People and MM Jazz. She brings energy and emotional focus to the stage, making her performances accessible to both jazz listeners and general audiences.
