Swansea Sound hail from Kent and Swansea. Featuring Hue Williams (ex-Pooh Sticks), Amelia Fletcher and Rob Pursey (ex-Talulah Gosh/Heavenly), Ian Button (ex-Death In Vegas) and Bob Collins (ex-Dentists). They are named after a defunct radio station and dedicated in their mission to sock it to the straights and the squares.
Swansea Sound have three albums (plus a Christmas album) but only their singles are available on Spotify. Their latest album is pre-post-truth on Skep Wax Records. They have recorded live sessions for Riley & Coe (6 Music), John Kennedy (Radio X) and Evan Davies (WFMU, New York); and have played extensively across the UK and US.
"The indiepop Crass." (Stewart Lee)
"An essential broadcast from the forefront of the indiepop resistance." (Louder than War)
"Close to an indie pop miracle." (All Music)
