Swåp is a folk quartet consisting of two Britons -- accordionist Karen Tweed and guitarist Ian Carr -- and Swedish fiddlers Carina Normansson and Ola Bäckstrom (the only one of the quartet not to handle vocals). As might be expected from their nationalities, Swåp's music fuses Celtic traditions with those of Swedish folk, a seamless match that makes their 1998 self-titled debut an intriguing accomplishment. Sic followed two years later. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
