Sweat Workers is an ever-evolving alt rock/pop project based out of Athens, Ohio. Started as a bedroom pop solo project by lead singer/guitarist Dani Wasserman in early 2017, Sweat Workers is currently a six piece band that has been playing together since November 2018. Those six include Dani (vox/guitar), Emma (guitar/vox), Jack (drums), Lane (guitar), Harley (bass), and Mitchell (synth). Sweat Workers draws influences from indie rock, pop, shoegaze, and emo, among others. Their own sound was found through reworking Wasserman’s bedroom pop songs, each member bringing their unique influences, resulting in a sound often characterized by layered guitar tones, unexpected riffs, and synth harmonies. They have firm roots in the Athens/Ohio DIY scene, fostering community and support in basement and living room shows. Keep DIY alive.
