Sweetenergy

"Sweetenergy" was a promising duo of intelligent electronica, one of the most interesting independent artists of the certain period in Lithuania's music scene. A project emerged in the industrial city of Siauliai, where many alternative rock and indie bands started and formed a specific, so called Lithuanian Manchester sound and style. Their only album "Get in Phase" was released by one of the most prominent labels - "Bomba records" in 1995. Members of two other bands, frontman and vocalist of indie rock band Lygiailyja Martynas Juchnevičius and multi-instrumentalist genius of the keyboard - Raimondas Rašpoliauskas. The duo shared the similar ideas of electronic, ambient, world and modern dance music influences for their album and recorded all tracks within the two weeks at Martynas' grandma's flat. The album was recorded on to MC just a month later. The managing director of "Bomba records" soon after that mentioned, that this kind of music is a bit too early for Lithuania's music market, but deal was done and just after two decades some tracks evokes interest from well known DJ's and generates a new life with new remixes and radio airplays.
