<a href="spotify:artist:3fCCZradpzmDYvihAZkEF9" data-name="sweeter">sweeter</a> is a pop bands project from Pasuruan City on East Java Indonesia initiated by Awan (vocals, guitar) from <a href="spotify:artist:4RFZ834bPiOsor6sloJ8PH" data-name="Gutswell">Gutswell</a> and Revaldi (vocals, guitar) from <a href="spotify:artist:1EqkQfrZcUK40YyL18UwQO" data-name="Trilogic">Trilogic</a>. The name sweeter was inspired by Awan's habit of reducing his sugar intake, with the hope that the band could still deliver sweetness through their songs. Inspired by powerhouse powerpop and indie rock bands such as Weezer, Teenage Fanclub and The Adams as well as late 90s Indonesian pop bands, sweeter blends sweet melodies simple lyrics and honest energy that resonates with everyday life. The creative process began with the recording of their first song "Hantu" at Revaldi's home and quickly progressed to the completion of four songs for their debut mini album. The lineup was strengthened by Wahyu (bass, vocals) a musician and sound engineer and Maulid (drums) from Gutswell making sweeter even more solid sweeter is set to release their debut mini-album in September 2025 across various DSPs preceded by a series of listening sessions.
