Sweetheart

The duo Sweetheart made waves in the Norwegian Nordicana scene in 2018/2019 with their acoustic and subdued Americana and the release of a few singles, including «Ghosts» which gained international recognition. Their debut album «Sweetheart» was released in 2020, hailed as one of the most beautiful albums of the year, and earned them the prestigious Spellemann Award – Norwegian Grammy Award – in the country category. This winter, they have recorded their highly anticipated second album, «I Will Love You When The Morning Comes» at the legendary Athletic Sound in Halden with producer Kai Andersen. The album is set to be released in September, and the duo will embark on a nationwide tour to promote it. Sweetheart's live performances are known for their captivating, emotionally charged, and understated delivery. The haunting harmonies and minimalist arrangements often leave audiences in awe-struck silence. Sweetheart is currently composed of John-Arne Ø. Gundersen on guitar and vocals and Anne Mette Hårdnes on piano and vocals.
