Swelly is a hip-hop artist that delivers straightforward stories, unapologetically.
Coming from Dyckman, a neighborhood in the uptown Manhattan area, Swelly developed a love of music and hip-hop culture from his artistic peers, as well as the inspiring walks of life growing up in his neighborhood. As a teen, Swelly's mother encouraged him to relocate to Connecticut for a “better life,” which is where—at the age of 17—he began to focus on improving his song-writing skills, as well as grow his network of supporters.
Swelly's music is rooted in his coined saying, “Tryna Get Right”—a motto which represents the daily perseverance, built from the rough upbringing he and his loved ones faced. Swelly's adversity and persistence resonates with the urban experiences of his listeners, and more importantly, Swelly's grounded mentality and non-stop hustle granted him the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of French Montana, Lil Durk, Young Ma, Jim Jones and more. Additionally, since 2018, Swelly has earned over 1,500,000 Youtube views with "Alone" reaching over 1,000,000 itself.
In the summer of 2019, Swelly signed to Roc Nation’s Equity Distro—which will distribute his EP titled, “Trust The Process,” that features his “Better Days” single with Epic Records & We The Best Music Group’s, Flipp Dinero.
