Based in South Jakarta,Indonesia. Swindon was formed first by Rian (vocal,songwriter) and Afrizzal (keyboard) as early members when during high school in 2017-2018. Had a hiatus for 3 years, at the beginning of 2021, the band was re-formed by Rian and looking for new members. Rian invites Ravli (bass), followed by Angga (lead guitar, co-songwriter), Rafael (rhytm guitar), and Fauzan (drums). In early 2025, Ravli resigned from his position as bass player and was replaced by Ayasi.
Swindon tries to make music that is not limited by one genre and emphasizes strong character. The lyrics are mainly abstract and deeply emotional, with themes of melancholy. The group is the another example that greatness isn't always complicated, with their working class background and semi genius pop sensibility, Swindon could never be denied by generations.
