Swirl- A band that by the summer of 2018 is headed for the Guinness book of World Records as the first unknown, independent, unsigned, self produced, self managed artist of any genre to have 100% of their independent release licensed into full length award winning films.
The first thing we did after forming was get on a series of tours with established headliners throughout the US spanning 50,000 miles in a single year.
We entered the studio to record what we ultimately would title the 'SWIRL' EP. While in the mixing phase we were presented with the opportunity to have 3 songs from the upcoming release licensed in a full length film, already in post production, that features an Emmy Award winning actor and is part of the horror genre (which is some 60 million strong worldwide). The film is titled 'Ditch Day' . The songs are "Rise Up", "Spell" & "We Are Alive".
The licensing of the songs "Message", "Fourth Of July", "Mad Disease" & "Time To Fly" make the 'SWIRL' EP a perfect 7 for 7 regarding placements for songs from this release. This is a release whereby ALL of the songs have been selected for multiple film projects.
