Sydney Beau was born and raised in Abbotsford, a town caught between the city and the country. In 2018 she began to pursue her life long passion for singing and songwriting through her first release “The Hummingbird EP”. Soon after she was nominated in Pop Artist category at the Fraser Valley Music Awards and won in the Female Artist category. It was later stated she “was one of the highest scored artists in [that] years’ adjudication” (Aron Levy, Civl Radio).
Sydney’s journey as an artist took its next step when she was selected for the Stingray Young Performers Program, giving her the opportunity to perform at the Winnipeg Folk Festival both in 2018 and 2019. Since then she has played Uptown Live and Music by the River in New West Minster, the Arts Alive Festival in Langley, and the Mill Lake Music concert series in Abbotsford. Recently she won first place in Star Launch’s music video competition.
Sydney plans on releasing her next EP in November 2019, followed by a music video in early 2020.
