Long Island native, Sydney D. --Syd for short-- began singing and performing at the early age of 5 years old. Also a musician, she plays the guitar, piano, and violin. She was always heavily inspired by the legendary R&B and Neo-Soul sounds of Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, India Arie, and Musiq Soulchild. Now a days, she identifies most with the modern R&B and Neo-Soul sounds of Kehlani, SZA, Syd Tha Kyd, and Solange. Her goals for her career consist of only making people "feel something" with every song or project she releases. In 2016 she dropped her first song, "Groove" on Soundcloud. After years of growing pains and self-doubt, she finally has found the courage and the confidence to share her vibez with the World... the wait is over.
