Sylvester Keys (Sylvester Kabemba) is a Zambian music director, Artist , keyboardist, producer and creative entrepreneur from Lusaka whose work blends gospel-rooted musicianship with contemporary R&B, Afrobeat, amapiano and popular Zambian styles. Raised playing church keyboards, Sylvester developed into a versatile session player and arranger who now writes, produces and leads projects for artists across Zambia and the region.
Born in Lusaka , Sylvester started on keys in church before joining bands and moving into professional music. His early grounding in Church and live performance shaped a melodic, harmony-first approach to arrangement and production — a trait that shows up across his recordings and live work. Over the years Sylvester has worn many hats: music director, session pianist/keyboardist, arranger and producer taking on live performances and studio roles for other artists while releasing his own material.
One of his major projects is the EP Love Theory, a collaborative release he announced for 7 November 2025 — a project that brings together a number of established and emerging Zambian artists.
