Symflo
Full-Length Artiste Biography
Davian Richard Gordon is building a catalogue of symbolic, message-filled lyrics and dynamic world beat rhythms, which will create his unique brand that will be more popularly known as Symflo, the reggae-dancehall recording artiste from Kingston, Jamaica.
He is working to bring peace, enlightenment and awareness to the reggae-dancehall landscape through music to the world in these troubled times. In his own words “I do not see why people can’t live without elements of war and poverty.”
Born on July 17, 1990, and raised in the inner-city communities of Manning’s Hill, Cassava Piece and Lawrence Tavern, Symflo became witness to stories of struggle, hatred, hunger, love and loss and triumph, all while living his own. Symflo’s musical experiences were not limited to school life, where he could exercise childish creativity of beating the wooden desks in a classroom to an audience of his peers, but he was able to showcase more at various community Christmas treats. This led to him getting first-hand exposure to the studio sessions of nineties hitmakers such as Angel Doolas, Nickodemus, Nitty Kutchie, Bounty Killer, Ninja Man and Beenie Man. This usually happened as he detoured from heading home and stepped into the yards of the legendary Exodus and Killamanjaro Studios
