Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Alexander Schnitzer, known artistically as Synchronic and to friends simply as Xander, has emerged with a sound that feels both chaotic and intentional, abrasive yet melodic. It’s a collision of genres and ideas that mirrors the layered influences behind his artistry.
Though he began making music in high school, Xander didn’t seriously pursue the craft until last year. That late-blooming commitment has become both a source of motivation and reflection. His only regret? Not finding his voice sooner. “I wish I could’ve started younger,” he admits. But in many ways, that delay may have been necessary, allowing life experience, artistic exploration, and creative maturity to shape the bold sonic identity he now embraces.
