Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Sizwe ‘SZWÉ’ Chitiyo is a 26 Year Old artist based in South Wales. After starting his music career professionally 4 years ago, Sizwe played acoustic sets around South Wales before venturing into electronic production, and recording his own music. Using blends of Grime, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul and Funk, SZWÉ approaches every single track with a new cadence and style in mind, making him a truly versatile artist.

His second bedroom album “<a href="spotify:album:6Aj3d7sR44YZcRvYNtUjic" data-name="Scorpion Grass (Deluxe Edition)">Scorpion Grass (Deluxe Edition)</a>” amassed over 200,000 streams after being Playlisted by Spotify’s editorial team, achieving BBC Radio 1 Play and also achieving a spot in the Welsh A List.

In July 2022, SZWÉ won the award for IMS Best Documentary 2022, for his BBC Short Documentary “The Honey Sessions Mixtape”, a documentary that spotlighted the Welsh Music Of Black Origin scene, allowing people a rare glimpse of what is happening with young people in this scene.
