When T Duck’s “Letter To My Ex” started catching on all streaming services in early 2021, it was a breath of fresh air from the usual DMV drill sound. Born Tyler Duckett in 2001 - T Duck is quickly gaining a buzz as setting himself apart from the DC drill scene. He has emerged as one of the freshest voices in DMV hip-hop, providing solid counterprogramming to a landscape still mostly dominated by trap. It’s hard not to get caught in his clever flows and unique melodies which make his most heartfelt verses have a happy mischief to them (“Drowning In Mud,” “Ksubi,” “SRT”). Claiming the city of Alexandria which is right outside the nations capital, T Duck is the self-proclaimed “King of the A”. Dropping consistent projects which seem to increasingly get better and better it’s impossible to put a ceiling on his potential. His sound is proof that he can represent the DMV without being confined to it.
