From the age of nine, T5 (aka Tyler Donavan Fisher) has been crafting music through writing and rapping. Originally from Flint-Beecher, Michigan he moved to Houston at 14 years old right after his freshman year of high school. Inspired by his older brother who rapped, and other family members who do music, he grew up in a creative family where music was always a big part of his life. At 16 years old, he started his journey in production and engineering.
Playing football in high school and on into college at Greenville University, he double-majored in Audio Engineering and Music Business. After returning to Houston for the summer, he moved to Chicago for a year where he interned at WalaCam, a media arts company with a deep history in the city. He engineered, produced, and managed their social media while working with a diverse background of artists that included dancers, photographers, and rappers.
After Chicago, T5 came back to Houston where he graduated from Avant Media Institute in 2020 with a certificate in Audio Engineering. While at Avant, he interned at the World Famous Sugarhill Recording Studios (America’s oldest recording studio) where he was able to cut his teeth in the recording game working around signed artists from a handful of labels. After only one month of interning at Sugarhill, his skills were proven enough that he was offered a full-time position at the studio.
