Tacit Blue originated with Chris Crabtree and Jim Rogers putting together a multi-volume set of sound effects recordings. What started with pure recordings of reality eventually shifted to creating otherworldly soundscapes and then into synthesis with and without synthesizers. Experimental compositions, musique concrete, and sonic sculpture are hallmarks of the ever-expanding Tacit Blue sound.
