Tahmina Niyazova (born 14th February 1989 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan) is a Tajik singer and granddaughter of Boymuhammad Niyozov, a famous tajik and Central Asian folk singer.
In 2008 she won the music competition "5 Zvyozd Intervidenie" which was held in Sochi (Russia). After her big success in Sochi she competed in several international music festivals like "Slavyanskiy Bazar" (Belarus), "Sunčane Skale" (Montenegro) and "Makfest" (North Macedonia). In 2018 Tahmina participated in the preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest in Belarus with the song "Chasing my tears".
Her first album "Nozi ishq" was re-released in 2019 by the Tajik label "Tamoshow" and includes all songs which were at the first version of the album plus some songs released after that (2008-2012). In April 2020 Tahmina released her brandnew album with the title "Fairytale", that includes 14 tracks in Russian, English and Tajik language. For this album she worked with composers and producers all over the world. The most remarkable ones are Rolan Seiitbekov (famous producer and DJ from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), Zoran Aleksić (producer and composer from Skopje, North Macedonia), Seyran Ismayilkhanov (multi-talented musician from Cologne, Germany), Daler Nazarov (musician and composer from Dushanbe, Tajikistan) and Kirill Kombarov (lyricist from Moscow, Russia). Tahmina also renewed two of her grandfather's songs ("Sekinak" and "Guft ki hardu"), also included in "Fairytale".
