Taivas Band is an innovative virtual heavy metal band, known for their bold fusion of musical styles and unique conceptual approach and anime aesthetics. Comprising just two members – Wenjie and Meili – the band transcends genres by blending heavy metal, rock, pop, electronic music and experimental elements with lyrics that explore atheism, criticism of organized religion and existential and social themes. The word Taivas, which means “heaven” in Finnish, is used in an ironic and provocative way, reflecting the band’s critical and philosophical stance towards religious dogma and spiritual institutions.
