Electronic activist since the 90s.
Steph Gallay aka Tajmahal's was a label DJ with the legendary TRANS'PACT label and a co-writer with "ASIA 2001".
After leaving ASIA 2001 in 1998 to start his own career, he became a label DJ for Chaos Unlimited (UK).
At Chaos Unlimited he worked in an A&R role and also created compilations. These experiences drove him to create his own label and so "Electrik Dream" was born in 2005 with him as label manager and started producing projects & artists from all over the world.

He is Currently working with Alba on a new project called “Medicine Men Song”.
Their music is a mix of Ambient, Dubstep, Downtempo and Etnic Shamanic Goa Trance atmospheres.
Watch out their coming next Album “EWA” announced end 2024.

The last years were productive for him: he released a tribute album with his friend Kurtz Mindfields, dedicated to the Berlin school period for all the analogue synth lovers , named Analogic Touch – From Berlin school to Electronica Ambient.

He was also working on a chill out Ethnik project “UASCA” in collaboration with his friend Fluxo from Portugal…
Uasca is a tribute to the ancient, tribal knowledge of the Amazon.

These days DJ Tajmahal likes to come and play retro Goa music sets as he has the secret to do so.
He also enjoys playing retro ASIA 2001 tribute sets as a former member of this legendary band.

Taj is currently preparing the new episode of Cosmik Chill 'Blue' V/A scheduled for 2025.
