Takes a Village Music began as a community music studio in the heart of Toronto’s Chinatown and has since grown into a dynamic record label with a focus—though not exclusively—on uplifting Asian artists. Our mission is to support, develop, and create opportunities for local musicians and creatives, helping them thrive in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
We’ve worked with a range of talented artists including Eric Ryan, HMLT, Cherrykim, TOVA, and many others. Beyond music production, Takes a Village is a growing ecosystem. We host the “Townhall” podcast, organize Asian Creative Networking events, and are currently working on a collective album titled “Potluck Sessions.”
As we continue to grow, our goal remains the same: to bridge the gap between music and other creative industries by offering events, workshops, and platforms that empower the next generation of artists, producers, and visionaries in our community.
