TAKYO, aka Boo Flores, never had to dream about performing on stage. He’s been receiving 1st & 2nd place dance awards locally and nationally since the age of 4. His parents worked hard to make sure he was never bored, was always in dance class, sports, or playing an instrument. By the age of 14 Boo had started producing his own music with help from his partner Double Dee and his family. Boo was heavily influenced by his uncles musical group, Nu Flavor, as well as his uncles based in the Bronx. From learning the structure of music and creating hits from nothing but the sound of a metronome. TAKYO, formerly known as Boo Wheezy looked up to Lil Wayne which encouraged him to create his words into “outlandish”metaphors.

In 2015 TAKYO released “The LOT” on SoundCloud to introduce the life of TAKYO. After that he released singles and other EPs to keep people listening. 2019 TAKYO dropped “Break the Ice” & “PercTAKYO”, making everyone want more.

TAKYO describes his music as “Inspiring, outlandish, diverse and uplifting.” In general terms a mix of r&b, rock, and hip hop may be the proper term.

With a new year approaching, we are on the way to witness a star on the rise of 2022 best upcoming artist.
