Talakai is a Singer Song writer Born and Raised in Sacramento California.Growing up in foster care and being a victim of abuse and hardship Talakai decided to take control of what he could and that was always how he made people feel with his voice and music.
Talakai’s music is inspired by sounds of R&b, Hip-hop, pop and Neo Soul.
He has released 10 singles on all platforms and has a Hit song dating back to 2008 called “Beautiful Creation” under the name Young Dee Tha Singer.
In 2023 Talakai Joined NBC’s Hit show The Voice on season 24 turning his 1st chair within 30 seconds of beginning while singing A Soulful Rendition of Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me”.Selecting between two Amazing Legends John Legend and Reba McEntire both ready and willing to work with his Raw Potential.
Talakai chose to be on Team Legend under the mentorship of Celebrity Coach John Legend which was the perfect opportunity to get more insight on the music industry and what to work on to better fine tune his Craft and passion of singing and songwriting.
Working on his debut Album Talakai plans to create his own Legacy by carrying his family’s Last name Talakai meaning Ambitious and Different.
