Tales of Origin

Tales of Origin was formed in 2007 by three friends, who have been making music together in different music styles and constellations for many years. The most successful one was with a Swedish band called Hel which released four albums between 1999-2005. When Hel broke up Ulrica Pettersson and Malin Pettersson decided to start a new music project with Adde Norlin. They all agreed that combining rock and folk music seemed like the right thing to do, and they got their influences by listening to other rock bands such as Blackmore’s Night, Magnum, Enya, The Hooters, Nordman, Lumsk, to name a few.
Tales of Origins music is a mixture of rock/fusion/folk and hard rock. All the members are part of the music writing process, both in English and Swedish. Some of the lyrics are about different events in the worlds history, from the very beginning to these days. Others deal with themes such as injustices in society or relationships between people.
Tales of Origin is a studio project band at the moment, they sometimes get help and inspiration from other musicians to complete their songs with traditional instruments such as fiddle, flutes, and key fiddle. In 2008 the band produced and recorded a limited seven track CD called ”Trough Virgin Eyes”. The band consists of Ulrica and Malin on vocals and Adde on guitar, bass, keyboard and drums.
