Tam Benjamin Tam-Nurseman, born December 13th, 1995 is a Nigerian R&B Recording Artist, Singer-Songwriter.
Tam Ben's style of music is what he calls 'Fusion' which is a perfect marriage of Contemporary R&B, Afro and Caribbean sounds.
Tam started music professionally in March 2016 when he released his first song 'Say My Name', using the instrumental of August Alsina's 'Kissing On My Tattoos'. He wrote a whole new song out to it and submitted it to his campus radio, the song was so good, people hardly believed it was an upcoming artist's first song ever. "I've been writing songs since i was really little, they used to be poems and then at some point i started adding melodies to them, it was my escape. I just didn't have the opportunity to record them because my parents would never support that (Music career)" he said in his first ever radio interview that same year.
Say My Name started gaining traction and soon enough he was nicked the Nigerian Chris Brown.
Tam took an unplanned break from music after a bad breakup that same year in 2016. In a radio interview in 2018, he said "She was my first, she inspired my first song so when i found out she was playing foul, it hit me really really hard, that was my first heartbreak and i didn't really know how to deal with it, i became withdrawn.."
He is currently studying Law in Lead City University, Nigeria.
