Professionally known as <a href="spotify:artist:5XpP5rw9h13RaxxbpI1fdw" data-name="'Tama Brown">'Tama Brown</a>; 'Tama was born Valentine Attama, and raised in Nigeria by a family of 7. Singer, songwriter, record producer & engineer, mixer and graphics designer; 'Tama was introduced into music at a young age by his father who always played songs by <a href="spotify:artist:308gQ5eCBIiSAHmi9tqlJ6" data-name="Lucky Dube">Lucky Dube</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6BH2lormtpjy3X9DyrGHVj" data-name="Bob Marley">Bob Marley</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5CG9X521RDFWCuAhlo6QoR" data-name="Fela Kuti">Fela Kuti</a> on road trips, and his older brother who made sure to always buy the latest albums of <a href="spotify:artist:55Aa2cqylxrFIXC767Z865" data-name="Lil Wayne">Lil Wayne</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:3fMbdgg4jU18AjLCKBhRSm" data-name="Michael Jackson">Michael Jackson</a>. Growing up 'Tama would buy albums by <a href="spotify:artist:7bXgB6jMjp9ATFy66eO08Z" data-name="Chris Brown">Chris Brown</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3aQeKQSyrW4qWr35idm0cy" data-name="T-Pain">T-Pain</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:23zg3TcAtWQy7J6upgbUnj" data-name="Usher">Usher</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1ZwdS5xdxEREPySFridCfh" data-name="2Pac">2Pac</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7hJcb9fa4alzcOq3EaNPoG" data-name="Snoop Dogg">Snoop Dogg</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:3TVXtAsR1Inumwj472S9r4" data-name="Drake">Drake</a>.
Music turned out to always be a means of escape, and he also describes it as a form of therapy for him to move on to the next chapter of his life. Started writing songs in high school because he wanted to hangout with his friends when they went for rap battles, you could only be there if you rap, so he wrote raps and turned out to be one of the best rappers in his high school years later. In grade 10 he released his first song, and never stopped writing until he found the sound that was right for him.
In 2019 he started releasing music professionally in Ontario Canada where he currently lives and attends university, ever since then he's been approached by small to medium sized labels with record deals. He plans on remaining independent and alludes to spending years educating himself and mastering his craft. After the release of his debut project; talent scouts have been asking what's next for him, and he says stay tuned for his sophomore project "hiatus."
