Tamara Jokic

Tamara Jokić is a singer and a songwriter born in Serbia. She is living in New York (USA).
Tamara creates her own expression in world music genre, lovingly nurturing the fusion of Iberian, Sephardic, Middle Eastern, Greek and Balkan music. Passionately devoted to the Mediterranean culture, music and languages, she had the opportunity to work and perform with many world-class musicians, such as Javier Limón, Mariza, Amira Medunjanin, Bojan Zulfikarpašić, Michael League, Israel Suárez Piraña, Paul Winter, Jamie Haddad, Matthew Nicholl, as well as rising young stars of the contemporary and world music scene such as Pera Krstajic, Layth Sidiq, Nella Rojas etc.
In the recent years, Tamara has been working on and performing a series of concerts presenting Mediterranean music in a different light, with a contemporary instrumentation, storytelling background, while being closely fused with her original music written in this manner. Tamara is an artist that uniquely brings us the Sounds of the East through Spanish language and the Mediterranean sentiment.
