Tamela Hairston is a native of Winston Salem, North Carolina. She
came into the realization of her singing gift at the age of 15 and began
serving under her father, Bishop Christopher Brinson. In
September of 2009, Tamela wed the love of her life, Cory Hairston and
they have been blessed with three beautiful daughters.
Tamela serves as a worship leader at World
Overcomers Christian Church, in Durham and Raleigh N.C. and Cory
serves alongside her as a bassist and music director for the WOCC
Raleigh location.
She and her husband co-wrote the song entitled ‘He Is’, which was released by WO Worship in 2017.
When Tamela is not serving as a worship leader, she is actively
traveling and ministering through song.
Through God's favor, she’s been privileged to grace the stage with
many minstrels and has accompanied many talented and well-known
artists such as JJ Hairston, Phil Thompson, Vashawn Mitchell, Phillip Bryant,
Earnest Pugh, and of course, her father, Bishop Christopher Brinson &
The Ensemble. Tamela’s single ‘Bless Your Name, Forever' was released February 11, 2019.
