Singer/songwriter Tammy Raybould is one of Canada's savored charms. Since 1998, Raybould's D.I.Y. approach with her debut EP, Facade, garnered critical acclaim, not to mention major radio play in her homeland. Shared dates with 54-40, Sloan, and an appearance with Sarah McLachlan at the first-ever Lilith Fair gave Raybould the added confidence to keep going. Her studio debut, Maybe, was issued on Sony Music Canada in 1998; Raybould's single, "Loving You," landed top spots among the adult contemporary charts while also being featured in an episode of Dawson's Creek in 2001. That same year, Raybould was up against Nelly Furtado for Best New Solo Artist at the Canadian Radio Music Awards; however, a nomination would suffice. Raybould's exposure was quickly rising. She signed a deal with guitargirls.com in May 2002 and appeared at the Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta later that summer. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi
