Mexican American singer songwriter Tania Gallardo grew up in Rancho Cucamonga California, where she was raised by a single mother. Tania began to learn how to sing and read in her first language Spanish by watching her mother sing karaoke. She began writing songs at the age of 8 years old. After it became normal to put melodies and lyrics together, she learned how to play guitar and began to compose her own music. Tania’s song writing was always inspired by relationships in her life and powerful women like her mother. Growing up with a single mother gave her a different perspective on life and men. It wasn’t until college that she was given the opportunity to pursue music professionally. Tania found herself in recording studios with english song writers Poo Bear, Eric Bellinger, Rico Love, etc. and released her first single Break Up to Make Up in 2019 where she gained over 100 thousand streams. In 2020 Tania began writing lyrics and melodies in Spanish and found something very special, herself. Her own Mexican flow of lyrics and melodies was something she never knew she could do. It was so natural and organic, she finally felt like herself and realized that being Mexican American was a privilege and she was going to make music both in Spanish and English. Tania currently, in 2021, is getting ready to release her very first EP in Spanish. Stay tuned!
