San Jose artist, Tank Kidd, is a rising versatile artist from the Bay Area, California. In his adolescent years, he looked up to artists such as <a href="spotify:artist:55Aa2cqylxrFIXC767Z865" data-name="Lil Wayne">Lil Wayne</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7dGJo4pcD2V6oG8kP0tJRR" data-name="Eminem">Eminem</a>. Tank then got involved in the Bay Area culture and absorbed the surrounding influence from Bay Area legends such as <a href="spotify:artist:2QLM9IFaHBtB16b8ZDaA3A" data-name="P-Lo">P-Lo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2ZavqCJe7uqkRpISes0NFi" data-name="Iamsu!">Iamsu!</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:4sv6VJ2QZlaSosz3kFlxQH" data-name="Mac Dre">Mac Dre</a>.
TK got into creating music directly through some high school friends, but took his music journey on his own. He would then create and release “Gucci Snakes” in 2016, and see almost overnight surge on SoundCloud.
Proceeding the wake of the new found success, TK started to bring a lot of different music into the mix, including Pop and Rock. This brought influence and originality to his music and separated him from the crowd.
At that time, Tank Kidd was working a 9 to 5, welding for a large company. With the hate developing for manual labor job, he enrolled in a college to study audio engineering, where he would learn how to perfect the music he was releasing. This led him to securing an engineering job in LA working for high profile artists, while also being able to use the equipment for his own music. Having this access gave him an outlet to create as much music as he could, and he could finally start to release his tracks to his fans.
For 2024 Tank Kidd is looking to show his versatility and dedication to his fans, bringing a lot of culture and influence into his new music. Stay Tuned
