Tanaka Brenton Chigwedere aka TannyTeeY was born in Harare Zimbabwe on the 7th of May
1996.
Unlike most producers and artists, he wasn't born into a family of music. He developed and
nurtured that interest as it grew so strongly in his heart.

Not having anyone to teach him musical instruments or digital audio workstations, Tanaka would
go hang out at local studios in Harare just to be able to see how music was created. He went as
far as pay engineers for a session just to watch them work, just so he doesn't irritate them with
his presence.

Losing both parents at a critical stage in his life got him rocked and music was his only comfort
and friend.
He moved to South Africa at the age of 13 where he started and completed his matric.
After this TannyTeeY was sure of the part he was going to take and that was music. He started
producing right after high school and hasn't stopped since.

Apart from music, he has a passion for helping others and growing and developing others withing
his field.

He has worked with the likes of Bon, Zameka, Blastfemi , Turbulence
