Tanuja DESAI HIDIER

Tanuja Desai Hidier is an award-winning author, singer-songwriter, and innovator of the “booktrack”. Her groundbreaking first novel, BORN CONFUSED-- the first South Asian American YA novel--was named a greatest YA novel of all time by Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and Paste Magazine. Sequel BOMBAY BLUES won the 2015 South Asia Book Award. Tanuja recently produced the DEEP BLUE SHE #Mutiny2Unity #MeToo music video/PSA project for women's/LGBTQ/human rights and racial and gender equity, featuring 100+ artist/activists (remix produced by Dave Sharma; video edited by Atom Fellows). All artist proceeds from the track (a remix of her Vogue Magazine #VogueEmpower playlist song "Deep Blue She" from her 'booktrack' album Bombay Spleen) to charity. Outlook Magazine calls the multimedia project "The We Are the World of our times".
