Tarrasque formed in Portsmouth, UK in 1988. They recorded three demos, one of which was used as background music for The Headbangers Ball on MTV Europe. After some personnel changes, they recorded the album Eggshell Staircase in 1993. They were also asked by MTV to record a new theme tune and some stings for the revamped Headbangers Ball. They did this and then split up instead of signing a record deal.
