Taseltech

Taseltech is a trailblazing multilingual rapper, lyricist, and recording artist. With a distinct look – ironically marked by his preference of keeping his identity concealed – the Johor-bred and KL-based rapper unabashedly lets his art do the talking.

What began as poetry writing in his early teen years naturally evolved into a passion for hip-hop and rap. With a natural affinity for storytelling, rhythm, and flow, Taseltech accredits legendary lyrical rappers of the 2000s with shaping his artistry; namely Tupac, Eminem, Ludacris, and Tech N9ne.

Rising above a tumultuous journey of self-discovery, sacrifice, and growth – which included a 7-year hiatus from both writing and rapping – Taseltech took a leap of faith in 2020 and found himself auditioning for Astro Ulugam’s inaugural Tamil rap competition Rap Porkalam.

An extremely successful stint on the rap competition show ended with Taseltech earning the title of first runner up, as well as a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia.

With renewed vigor and determination, Taseltech’s journey as an aspiring rap star is only just beginning.
