Since its genesis, Taxed has been influenced by a wide range of genres. Influences including the likes of River Tiber, Tame Impala, Kaytranada, Bill Evans, Lauryn Hill, and Frank Ocean. While respecting the influence of these artists, Taxed has created what they believe is its own genre within the alternative realm. As individuals, Max and Thomas were both exposed to music at a young age and were brought up on very different styles of music. Through their collaboration and creative synergy, they have created an amalgamation of their individual influences expressed in their debut EP, ERA. ERA is a concise six-track EP, that explores different realms within the alternative/indie genres.
